Upholstery Manager

Working Upholstery Manager required for a well-established contract furniture manufacturer based in Durham. The company produces high-quality bespoke contract seating for the hospitality, commercial and corporate sectors. This is a hands-on management role — the successful candidate will be expected to upholster as well as manage. Responsibilities: managing a small upholstery team; pricing raw goods and materials; liaising with suppliers to ensure best possible price and lead time; attending project meetings; liaising with customers to ensure excellent customer service; working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure all orders are manufactured and delivered on time; occasionally attending site with the installation team on large projects. Must have: previous management experience (essential); minimum 2 years upholstery experience; excellent communication skills; hands-on approach to team leadership. Skills required: upholstery, team management, supplier liaison, pricing, production management, customer communication, contract furniture, workshop management.
