Based in Whitby, North Yorkshire, this company has been producing exceptional handcrafted furniture for nearly 40 years. The Role You will combine your skills as an accomplished cabinetmaker with a team leadership responsibility, guiding fellow craftspeople through projects to completion. This is a working leadership role — you will be at the bench as much as you are directing others, and the quality of your own work will set the standard for the team. Key Responsibilities Leading and supporting the workshop team on bespoke furniture commissions Producing high-quality handcrafted furniture to precise specifications and tight deadlines Working from technical drawings with accuracy and craftsmanship pride Maintaining professional workshop standards and ensuring safe use of hand tools and woodworking machinery Contributing to residential, marine/yacht and hospitality projects What We Are Looking For An accomplished cabinetmaker with a genuine passion for the craft Proven ability to work independently and lead others in a workshop environment Strong knowledge of furniture materials and manufacturing processes Confident operating hand tools and woodworking machinery to a high standard Technical drawing proficiency A professional, reliable and collaborative approach The Company An independently minded workshop with nearly 40 years of heritage, producing bespoke commissions for prestigious residential properties, luxury yachts, and high-end hospitality venues.
