Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner - Bespoke Kitchens and Fitted Furniture

A well-established specialist manufacturer of bespoke kitchens, fitted furniture and architectural millwork, based in Essendine, Rutland (near Stamford), is looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner. Producing furniture-grade cabinetry of exceptional quality, their projects span high-end residential properties across the UK, USA and internationally, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods. This is a permanent, full-time position for an experienced Cabinet Maker, Cabinetmaker, Bench Joiner or Furniture Maker who takes pride in the standard of their work and is looking for a long-term role within a quality-focused, technically challenging workshop environment. Key responsibilities - Manufacture bespoke kitchens, fitted furniture and architectural millwork to the highest standards - Read and interpret detailed technical and workshop drawings - Assemble cabinetry and furniture components accurately and efficiently - Work with veneered boards, solid timber, laminates and specialist decorative materials - Carry out quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process - Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop environment - Collaborate with project managers, designers and installation teams What we are looking for - Minimum 5 years' experience in bespoke cabinetry, cabinet making, furniture making, bench joinery or architectural millwork - Strong understanding of furniture and cabinet construction techniques - Proven ability to work independently from detailed technical or workshop drawings - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality - Experience with veneered and solid timber construction (desirable) - CNC or modern manufacturing experience (desirable) - Full UK driving licence (preferred) - Please note this is a workshop cabinet making role: it is not suited to general construction joiners, site carpenters or production-line kitchen assemblers What is on offer - £38,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience - Permanent, full-time position with long-term career progression - Overtime opportunities - Varied and technically challenging projects at the premium end of the market - Modern, well-equipped workshop environment - Supportive team culture with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship If you are a Cabinet Maker or Bench Joiner in Stamford, Rutland, Oakham, Peterborough, Bourne, Spalding, Grantham or Corby with a bespoke kitchen, fitted furniture or fine joinery background, we would love to hear from you.
